Kozani, my hometown is a small city in the Northen region of Greece and it is famous for the traditional carnival that takes place every year. Every year the percentage of tourists during the carnival period decreases. The idea is to promote the festival worldwide as a tourist attraction as well as Greece’s mainlands.
One of the most important aspects of local folklore is Kozani's carnival at the end of the winter, which retains much of the profanity of the ancient Dionysiac cult. The carnival lasts 14 days and it is concidered to be one the best in Greece.
I created a visual identity that is fresh, combines tradition with modernity and has strong notions of Greece. The illustrations appearing are the main landmarks of Kozani.
